Those early memories shaped my culinary journey, infusing every dish I create with authenticity and love. I have traveled and lived across the world, and because of this, my food brings together infused flavors that lead to colors like the sunset in South Africa, the lively hues of Hindu vibes, the greenery of Florida, and a hint of UK charm—a blend of inspirations on a plate.
Johannesburg’s Melting Pot
In the heart of Johannesburg, South Africa, where the sun kisses the golden savannah, I first learned to appreciate the magic of spices. My childhood was a symphony of flavors—samosas from street vendors, the comforting warmth of masala chai, and the rhythmic beat of the dholak during festive celebrations. Here, the air carries whispers of resilience and unity, a testament to the diverse communities that call this city home.
Europe’s touch
But my culinary compass spun northward as I travelled to visit and stay with family. In the cobbled streets of the UK and even to the rolling hills of Canada, I chased the scent of rosemary, thyme, and basil. From French bistros to Italian trattorias, I collected unique flavors to infuse with my traditional dishes. Each bite was a postcard—a memory etched in taste.

Chicago! While living and working in Chicago, by day, I chased big career aspirations, but at night, my kitchen became my sanctuary, and I kneaded pizza dough with my love to ensure it could hold all of my dreams. My fingers now weave tales of magic—a unique crust sturdy enough to hold the world.
